Enjoying a morning in the State of Georgia Botanical Garden 01
I have enjoyed walking in the State Botanical Garden for years. Do not come to the garden with me if you are seeking polite conversation. I come to see, listen and pause a moment. I watched a single leaf fall into the river and float down stream wondering if it will reach the ocean some day. These are private moments and as I walk the paths or down by the river stopping to sit upon it’s banks I can feel the joy and calm that calls me back to find relief. I have written a lot of bad poetry in my life to know I’m not a poet except maybe, perhaps, I hope in paint. That’s just what I do I paint.
Tomorrow I’ll try a new approach. I’m going to go out and do some pretty detailed drawings in charcoal then bring them back to the studio to finish working them up. The adventure should be interesting.
