Celandine Poppy (Stylophorum diphyllum)
(aqueous acrylic and charcoal on muslin)
This is one of those plants I would love to cultivate and I’m in the process of finding them through legitimate sources. I would never just go out and collect native plants in the wild but more and more nurseries are carrying native plants. Another source I want to check out is the Georgia Native Plant Society and the plant rescue efforts when habitats are threatened. I have always enjoyed gardening, and it’s pretty obvious from my blog I love plants. Living in a rented house I’ve been reluctant to make the commitment that a garden requires. It struck last night, why not do a container garden of native plants.
